Ear Syringing in Bolton

Those in need of Ear syringing are asked to ring the Audiology department for a wax triage appointment, if patients meet the criteria they are added to the waiting list and will be sent an appointment at Breightmet HC for suction.

 Patients do not need a referral, they can ring direct on 01204 390924 or preferably email using this address Audiology@boltonft.nhs.uk  

Toilet Pass Letter

We get many requests from both parents and schools for 'documented evidence from the GP about whether a child has a medical need to leave class to pass urine.  If you need such a letter please download the copy below, there is no need to request an appointment with the GP for this.

Mental Health & Wellbeing Support

We have a broad range of mental health and wellbeing support in Greater Manchester.  As part of the wider support offer a new way for people to access the right support in a mental health crisis has been introduced across the North West. Bolton Adult Hearing Services

The folllowing providers will be accepting self-referrals for patients with hearing problems aged 18 or over. GP practices can still continue to refer patients directly through e-RS using a standard referral letter.

Self-referrals cannot be accepted for the following conditions:

  • Sudden hearing loss
  • Vertigo
  • Ear infections

Clinical note: Please note that patients are unable to have a hearing assessment if they have a build-up of ear wax.
